There is no perfect parent and there is no perfect child, but somehow and for some reason, you are brought together. The journey of parenthood can be extremely difficult and challenging and there is no rule book for how to meet the needs of your child and family. Using a holistic approach, we can come up with strategies and resources that address your child’s specific needs. As appropriate, we work collaboratively with educational staff, medical providers, and other resources to best support your family.
We provide individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults with tailored therapeutic techniques to best support the individual. We believe collaboration is essential in order to provide integrated and holistic care. Our approach is psychodynamic, attachment-based, and developmentally informed.
Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) is a well-documented and highly successful family intervention for young children (0-5 years old) who have experienced a traumatic event and, as a result, are experiencing mental health, attachment, and/or behavioral problems. This evidence-based model works with the child and caregiver to restore the child’s sense of safety and attachment while improving cognitive, behavioral, and social functioning.
