Ari specializes in providing counseling and psychoeducation to children and families, adolescents, and young adults experiencing obstacles related to attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), and related learning, social, and behavior struggles. He also works with individuals struggling with anxiety, interpersonal relationships, and other life stressors. His therapeutic approach utilizes psychodynamic conceptualization, person-centered interactions, and cognitive-behavioral treatment interventions. In addition to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Ari incorporates dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and family systems theory in his work with children, adolescents, and adults.

Ari has experience working with children and adolescents in the school and office settings, while collaborating with families, school personnel, and other providers. He has provided psychotherapy at a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) as well as at agencies and practices in the New York area. Ari received training in implementing empirically supported behavior management strategies to encourage positive and pro-social behavior among children with disruptive behavior concerns and those with whom they interact.

Ari received his undergraduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his Master’s degree in Social Work from Yeshiva University Wurzweiler School of Social Work.
